Temporary Marina for Race

Things are definitely starting to align with 16 months to go to the start of the Melbourne to Osaka Yacht Race.

It was a quick 24-hour visit for recently for Keiichi Morimura, Commodore of the Osaka Hokko Yacht Club, who flew to Australia for important meetings. They were held with the Osaka and Melbourne City Councils, Ports of Osaka and Melbourne, partner clubs SYC and ORCV, as well as supporting the Melbourne to Osaka Sister City events.  Amazing effort Kei San !

During the meetings with the representatives from the Osaka City Council & Port of Osaka, the plans for a temporary marina at the Osaka Expo site at Yumeshima Island were displayed.  This temporary marina has a wall enclosure and is 5m deep at it’s lowest point and with the size of many of our competitors will be perfect for their stay in Osaka.

If you’d like to be there in 2025, secure your place in this great race here
