The yacht was 3rd on Line Honours and 2nd overall in the 2007 Rolex Middle Sea race. 1st in the solo division of the 2008 /09 Global Ocean race.

In 2023/24, Kevin competed but retired in Hobart from the Global Solo Challenge.

Kevin Le Poidevin will co-skipper with Darrell Greig, who sailed together in the 2021 Sydney Hobart double-handed and will line up again for the 2024 Hobart race.

Le Poidevin spent 31 years in the military which has given him a great many skills needed for short-handed sailing, including efficiency and a vast knowledge of sailing.

The Roaring Forty team are representing the Port Stephens Yacht Club and sailing to support our charities BRAIN TUMOUR ALLIANCE AUSTRALIA and PANKIND & SOLDIER ON
