A message sent to competitors by Race Director Simon Dryden at around lunch time today indicates a restart on Friday is looking likely.
“Having reviewed the weather situation, it is becoming more likely we will get a race re-start on Friday” Simon said. “A Notice to Competitors will be published tomorrow but our intention is to see competitors return to the point at which they suspended racing, communicate that time to Race Management and continue to race. Our intention is to provide a time by which you will need to leave your safe haven and require you to proceed directly to your restart positions. Competitors may motor back to their restart position.”
Competitors are reminded about NTC5:
In order to protect the integrity of the race, competitors may elect to replace any fuel used to travel to/from safe haven and any provisions used while racing is suspended, but must not take on any additional provisions or seek any external assistance. Competitors must log any provisioning (incl quantities) and include this as part of their written post race declaration.
