Good news has come through overnight regarding the use of Satellite Phones for regular schedule communications during the Sundance Marine Melbourne Osaka Cup 2018.
The use of Sat phones only has been approved, which means that HF radio communications on a vessel will not be mandatory. There will be conditions such as having an outside antenna installed and possibly others. Full details in relation to their use during our event will publish shortly.
The ORCV and our Race Committee have been working hard to secure this information and we know that it’ll be welcome news for a number of our competitors.
