Alive will commence their race to Osaka early this week. In the meantime, we’ve had time to step onboard Alive, meet Duncan and Glenn and take a look downstairs and around the boat.
The Melbourne Osaka Cup runs on elapsed time for both Line and Handicap honours and aims to have all yachts arriving into Osaka within a short window of time.
Duncan and Glenn are looking to attempt to beat the current race record of 21d 12h 41m 13s set by Chinese Whisper in 2018.
Revised start date and time for Final start –
The ORCV- On Water Manager for the Melbourne Osaka Cup met today re delaying the start of the race on Sunday 30th March 2025 due to safety concerns around the weather.
