It’s been an exciting week for the Runaway boys Daniel and Tom as they came around from Adelaide to Melbourne for the Sundance Marine Melbourne Osaka Cup.
With the weather less than ideal as they set out, the guys pulled in for an overnight stop not far into the trip but then sailed the remainder of the voyage non stop and in the process competed their qualifier for the race. Passing through the Heads just after 9pm on Friday Feb 17 th they pulled safely into SYC a few hours later.
Daniel said that things had been bumpy a few times during the trip but the journey had proved to be a great test for both the boat and the crew. With this stage completed, its now a matter of those final tweaks before the start in just over a months time.
