The first of our International entries Bartolome departed Osaka Hokko Yacht Club Midday on Saturday for the cruise to Melbourne. Over the past few months, skipper Keiichirou Morimura (Kei San) has been busily preparing the boat for journey and had recently postponed his departure a couple of weeks to make sure everything was in order.
His co-skipper Masakazu Omote (Masa San) joined Kei San in Osaka about a week ago and they’ll undertake the journey with the help of a couple of other OHYC members from the Sun Luck team. They’ll make several stops as they come down and mix things up a bit as far as the crew is concerned. The plan as follows:
- Leg1: Osaka – Chichi-jima (Kei San, Masa San and Horiuchi San)
- Leg2: Chichi-jima – Pohnpei (Kei San, Masa San and Horiuchi San)
- Leg3: Pohnpei – Brisbane (Kei San and Masa San only)
- Leg4: Brisbane – Melbourne (Kei San, Masa San, Okamoto San and Arita San)
Bartolome is the first of several International competitors who will make the trip to Melbourne over the next couple of months and Race Organizers thought it might be a good idea for us all to follow their progression on the tracker that will be used for the race. During the race itself, every boat will be fitted with a Tracker and these International boats on their way to the event have been sent their tracker early. We can already see the progress of Bartolome via the tracker link below and as the other International vessels set out, they’ll appear as well. We’ll keep you up to date on this.
For the moment we wish the Bartolome crew a safe and enjoyable journey.
国際エントリー第1号、バルトロメ号がメルボルンへ向けて大阪北港ヨットクラブを出港しました。ここ数ヶ月の間、スキッパーの森村圭一朗さん(圭さん)は懸命に航海の準備をしていましたが、状態を万全にするために数週間出航を延期していました。
彼のパートナーの表正和さん（正さん）は、約1週間前に大阪で圭さんと合流し、OHYCの他のメンバーの助けも借りながら、南への長い旅に出かけます。彼らはクルーの息を合わせながら、数港に寄港しつつ南下します。
航海プラン:
- レグ1 大阪-父島 (圭さん、正さん、堀内さん)
- レグ2 父島-ポンペイ(圭さん、正さん、堀内さん)
- レグ3 ポンペイ-ブリスベン(圭さん、正さん)
- レグ4 ブリスベン-メルボルン(圭さん、正さん、岡本さん、有田さん)
¥バルトロメ号はここ数ヶ月の間にメルボルンへ向かう国際参加艇の中で最初のヨットなので、主催者はレースに使用されるトラッカーで彼らを追跡するのが良いのではないかと考えました。
レース中は全艇にこのトラッカーが設置されます。国際参加艇には、はやい段階でこのトラッカーを送付しています。
すでにトラッカーリンクを介してバルトロメ号の進航状況を確認できます。また、他の国際参加艇が出発すると、同様に表示されます。私たちはこれで最新の位置を追跡するでしょう。
何はともあれ、今はバルトロメ号のクルーが安全に楽しく航海することを心より祈っています。
