The first training session for competitors in the 2025 Melbourne to Osaka Double Handed Yacht Race was held on Wednesday evening. Conducted online by the ORCV and moderated by Martin Vaughan, the important topic was Boat Preparation – Instruments /Electrical /Diesel fuel storage. Three speakers, Rod Smallman, Leeton Hulley and Paul Roberts covered a variety of subjects and with two of them having done the race previously, they were able to speak with authority on the issues faced on such a gruelling race. A good number of competitors logged on for the session and had a number of questions for the presenters. If you missed the evening you can view it here.
