Since Yamada-San and Koby-San on Zero cleared Australian Boarder Force, they have enjoyed Bundaberg hospitality including the Friday night marina BBQ. Zero is moored next to Cermamco in the marina – the yachts have similar drafts.
Cheryle & Garry (our M2O friends at Bundaberg) arranged for sails from Zero to be repaired and introduced them to Bunnings where they have visited every day !
Zero plans to depart from Bundaberg on Monday & sail directly to Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC). Yamada-San needs to return to Japan after arriving in Melbourne but will return to SYC well before the race starting dates.
Other news on Trekkee and Arcadia
Trekkee is in the Coral Sea and plans to arrive in Bundaberg by the 10th January.
Unfortunately, Arcadia has experienced some more sail & equipment damage in the Philippines and John Wilson has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the race to Osaka.
